Agartala, May 29: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Tripura government has transferred several senior IAS and TCS officers, including a District Magistrate, and reassigned key departmental responsibilities.

As per the official order, Dilip Kumar Chakma, IAS, who was serving as the District Magistrate & Collector of Unakoti district, has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).

Dr. Vishal Kumar, IAS, DM & Collector of West Tripura District, who was holding additional charge as Municipal Commissioner of AMC, has been relieved from that responsibility.

Tamal Majumdar, IAS, currently Additional Secretary to the Government in the Revenue and GA (AR) Department, has been transferred and posted as the new DM & Collector of Unakoti district, replacing Chakma.

In another key move, K. Shashi Kumar, IFS, CCF (Territorial) and Secretary of the Science, Technology & Environment Department, has now been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Tribal Welfare (including TRP & PTG) Department. He has been relieved of his previous additional responsibility for the Science, Technology & Environment Department.

Brijesh Pandey, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer and Secretary of Tribal Welfare, has been relieved from the charge of the Tribal Welfare (including TRP & PTG) Department.

Chaitanya Murti, IFS, PCCF, Tripura, will now also hold the charge of Principal Secretary, Science, Technology & Environment Department.

Among TCS officers, Subrata Datta, TCS Gr-I, Sr. Deputy Collector in the office of the DM, West Tripura, has been transferred to the post of Deputy Secretary, Revenue Department.

Rupon Das, TCS Gr-I, formerly Additional SDM of Sonamura, has also been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Revenue Department.

The reshuffle aims to streamline administrative efficiency and strengthen governance across departments.
