Agartala, June 11: The state tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday chaired a Board of Directors’ meeting of the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited here at the state guest house and said that the project work of launching seaplane services at Dumbur lake is under consideration as the government will conduct the feasibility study.

He said that a team from South India will soon visit the state to take up the feasibility study.

Meanwhile, the minister said that another project work of rope way at Ladhua Tea Estate in Sabroom will be soon be established. Recently the minister had visited the site and took stock of it.

The minister further informed that Rs 350 crore is being spend for tourism development in Tripura. The Asian Development Bank and Central government’s Swadeshi Darshan Scheme has been financially assisting the state for the development of the tourism sector.
