In a poignant visit marked by grief, Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath reached Ghilatali village in Kalyanpur on Sunday, where the shadow of tragedy loomed large following the untimely death of 22-year-old Ajay Debnath. The young man’s life was tragically cut short after he came into accidental contact with a live electrical line, leaving the local community in deep sorrow.
Minister Nath was accompanied by local MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, public representatives, and senior officials of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL). Together, they visited the site of the incident to assess the circumstances that led to the fatal accident.
Following the inspection, the Minister met the bereaved family members of Ajay Debnath. The emotional meeting was filled with tears and silence as the family mourned the loss of their young son. Offering heartfelt condolences, Minister Nath said, “No words of sympathy can truly ease such grief. Yet, I embrace the family with the warmth of my heart. The state government has stood by you, is with you now, and will continue to stand by you in every possible way.”
He assured the family of all possible government assistance and support, reiterating the administration’s commitment to preventing such tragedies in the future. The Minister also prayed for the eternal peace of Ajay’s soul, expressing deep sorrow over the incident.
