Kanchanpur, Nov 24 — The Kanchanpur subdivision is gearing up to host the Unity Promo Fest 2025 on November 28–29 at the scenic Vangmun ground in Jampui Hills. This marks the fourth destination of the state-wide festival series after its successful editions in Dumboor, Belonia, and Udaipur. The two-day celebration aims to promote cultural diversity, boost tourism, and strengthen community harmony across Tripura.

A preparatory meeting was held on November 22 at the festival venue to finalize arrangements for the upcoming event. The meeting was attended by MLA Philip Kumar Reang; Acting Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ananta Kumar Das; Joint Director of Tourism Aniruddha Roy; BDO of Jampui Hill Debabrata Roy; Chairman of Jampui Hill BAC Biak Chungnonga; and officials from multiple departments involved in the event’s coordination.

During the meeting, stakeholders reviewed plans for a host of activities designed to showcase the region’s cultural richness and attract visitors. The festival will feature exhibition stalls set up by various government departments, food stalls offering authentic local cuisine, and displays of traditional tribal sports. Cultural performances by renowned artists from Tripura and neighbouring states will add vibrancy to the celebrations. A special performance by a Mizoram-based band is also scheduled, alongside a colourful fashion show presented by members of Tripura’s 19 tribal communities.

Speaking at the session, MLA Philip Kumar Reang called upon all participating departments and local stakeholders to extend full cooperation to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival. He stressed that the Unity Promo Fest is more than just an event—it is an opportunity to highlight Tripura’s diverse cultural tapestry and promote Jampui Hills as a prime destination for cultural tourism.

With preparations well underway, the festival is expected to draw significant public participation and shine a spotlight on the natural beauty and cultural vibrancy of Jampui Hills.
