Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and supporters across the country organized special prayers, religious rituals and thanksgiving ceremonies on Wednesday to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 12 years in office, a milestone widely described by party leaders as a historic moment in India’s democratic journey.
In New Delhi, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee joined Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda at the Lakshminarayan (Birla) Temple to offer prayers for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life and continued leadership. The occasion marked what BJP leaders termed a landmark achievement in governance and public service.
Speaking after the ceremony, Bhattacharjee described the day as a defining moment not only for the BJP but also for the nation. He said Prime Minister Modi has emerged as one of the longest-serving leaders in independent India and has guided the country through a transformative period of development.
“Under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership, India is moving steadily toward the goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat. His government has consistently worked for the welfare of the poor, workers, farmers, youth and women,” Bhattacharjee said. He added that the country has witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure, social welfare, digital governance and economic growth during the past 12 years.
In Tripura, celebrations were observed with equal enthusiasm at various temples and religious sites. Pradesh BJP President and MLA Abhishek Debroy participated in special prayers at the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, while Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy attended rituals at the Indranagar Kalibari Temple.
Minister Roy highlighted the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” expressing confidence that India would continue to achieve greater heights of development, unity and prosperity under Modi’s leadership.
At the Raksha Kali Temple near Tripura University, the Suryamaninagar Mandal organized a prayer gathering attended by Deputy Speaker and MLA Ram Prasad Paul, Dukli Block Chairman Bhulan Saha and several party leaders. Similar ceremonies were also held in Bishalgarh, where MLA Sushanta Deb joined devotees at the Jagannath Jiu Temple.
BJP leaders across the state and country emphasized that Prime Minister Modi’s tenure has strengthened India’s global standing and accelerated progress across multiple sectors, while prayers were offered for his continued leadership in guiding the nation toward a developed and self-reliant future.
