Agartala: April 14: An incident during the celebration of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 135th birthday has led to heightened tensions in the Hotat Bazar area of Bamanchhara Panchayat, Surma Constituency No. 46. According to reports, a clash occurred during the event, resulting in injuries to several individuals, including Anil Das, a member of the Kamalpur Sub-division Committee of CPI (M). He sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the altercation involved individuals allegedly attacking participants of the program with sticks and other objects. The situation has caused unrest in the area, with several others reportedly sustaining minor injuries.

In response to the incident, supporters of the CPI (M) gathered at the local police station, demanding action against those responsible. The situation remains tense, and authorities are monitoring the area closely to maintain order.
