The Meteorological Department has issued an urgent weather advisory warning of thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall and gusty winds across all districts of Tripura over the next 24 hours. The forecast indicates a significant change in weather conditions that may bring much-needed relief from the intense heat and humid conditions experienced across the state in recent days.

According to weather officials, several districts are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall along with lightning activity and strong winds. Areas expected to be significantly affected include North Tripura, South Tripura, Dhalai, and Khowai districts, where thunderstorm activity is likely to be more intense. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as weather conditions could change rapidly during this period.

The state has been experiencing high temperatures and uncomfortable weather conditions in recent days, causing difficulties for residents across both urban and rural areas. Meteorological officials stated that the expected rain may help reduce temperatures and offer relief from the prevailing heat wave-like conditions.

Weather data released by the department indicates that the maximum daytime temperature is expected to remain around 35 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Agartala recorded a minimum temperature of 28.1 degrees Celsius during the early hours of Saturday, reflecting continued warm conditions before the expected change in weather pattern.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious during the forecast period and strictly follow safety guidelines to avoid risks associated with thunderstorms and lightning strikes. Residents have been advised to stay indoors during periods of intense lightning activity and avoid standing under trees or near electric poles. People have also been asked to limit unnecessary outdoor movement during adverse weather conditions.

The latest weather forecast has generated hope among residents who have been struggling with the scorching summer temperatures. While the expected rainfall may provide welcome relief, officials have emphasized the importance of remaining alert and prepared, as sudden weather changes and strong winds could pose safety concerns.

The administration is continuing to monitor developments and has urged people to stay updated with official weather advisories.
