Agartala, April 24: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday visited the Gandhigram Primary Health Centre and took a stock of the infrastructure and health care facilities in the Centre.

During his visit, the Chief Minister expressed his concern over some lacking in the health centre and instructed the concerned officials to ensure cleanliness and maintain proper health care facilities.

Talking to the reporters during his visit, Dr Saha, who also holds the health portfolio said, “I found some lacking and gap in the Centre and accordingly I have instructed the health secretay to bridge the gap and ensure proper health care facilities to the patients.”

“I checked the staff duty patters and I found that some health staff are working both in the field and in the hospital,” Dr Saha said, adding that the health secretary was instructed accordingly.

Dr Saha emphasized on cleanliness of the hospital and said that the concerned authority was instructed accordingly to maintain cleanliness in the health centre and ensure hygiene for both patients and patient parties.
