Agartala, May 14: The state industry and commerce minister Santana Chakma on Wednesday inaugurated Mega Skill Awareness and Placement drive at Laljhuri Block of Kanchanpur subdivision and said that the government is working through multifaceted initiative to make the youths of the state self-reliant and Atmanirbhar.
Addressing the programme, the minister said that through this camp the youth will be able to get employment in different places in the state by getting training in various technical subjects. They will be able to extend their support for the development of the state by becoming financially self-reliant, she added.
Speaking at the event, Additional District Magistrate of Unakoti district Biplab Das said that if such training camps are conducted on a block basis, the youth of the concerned area will be benefited more. Additional Director of the Department of Industries and Commerce Subhash Chandra Das also spoke at the event.
Additional BDO of Laljuri block Deepak Das, Chairman of Laljuri BAC Ajanta Kumar Chowdhury, Chairman of Pencharthal BAC Sajal Chakma and others were present in the programme.
