Agartala: May 18: Following a militant attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting multiple militant bases. In response to the April 22 attack, Indian forces carried out operations resulting in the destruction of nine militant installations. Subsequently, Pakistan attempted to counter with drone strikes, which were successfully intercepted by the Indian Army.

In recognition of the army’s efforts, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a Tiranga Yatra on Sunday at Banamalipur Mandal, Agartala. The rally commenced from Chandrapur ISBT and covered several city routes, with participants carrying the national flag to promote messages of patriotism.

The event saw attendance from BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, along with other party leaders, workers, and supporters. Addressing the gathering, Bhattacharya acknowledged the dedication of Indian soldiers in safeguarding the nation and highlighted India’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

The Tiranga Yatra aimed to honor the armed forces and foster a spirit of unity and patriotism among the public.
