Agartala, July 22: Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Ramachandra Rao was sworn in today as the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court in a formal ceremony held at the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan. The oath of office was administered by the Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Tourism and Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, and Justices T. Amarnath Goud, S.D. Purokayastha, and Biswajit Palit of the Tripura High Court.

Also present were Advocate General Shaktimoay Chakraborty, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP Anurag, other senior government officials, as well as family members of the newly appointed Chief Justice.

Justice Ramachandra Rao takes over the position with a distinguished judicial career, and his appointment is expected to further strengthen the judiciary in Tripura.
