Agartala, July 24: In a historic move, the Government of Tripura organised the first-ever Chintan Shivir at the State Guest House on Thursday, under the initiative of the Department of Welfare for Scheduled Castes. The event brought together elected MLAs from all Scheduled Caste-reserved constituencies across the state, with the aim of deliberating on the comprehensive development of SC-dominated areas.
The session was chaired by a senior representative of the government and marked a significant step towards inclusive governance and equitable policy planning.
Minister Sudhangshu Das, also joined the meeting and stated that the primary objective of the Chintan Shivir was to explore ways to further enhance the economic and social upliftment of Scheduled Caste communities in Tripura.
Participating MLAs actively engaged in discussions, raising various important issues and offering valuable suggestions based on ground-level experiences.
The views and recommendations put forth during the session are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future course of action for the department, making development efforts more targeted, efficient, and people-centric.
