Agartala: Oct 20: In a remarkable achievement, Janas Jamatia from Twirisa village under Teliamura subdivision has become the first individual from the Tiprasa community to secure a nursing job in Tokyo, Japan. His success marks a proud milestone for the tribal community and highlights the growing global reach of skilled professionals from Tripura.
Coming from a humble background, Janas’s journey reflects unwavering perseverance, hard work, and determination. His professional training and overseas placement were made possible through the support and sponsorship of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), which has been actively working to enhance skill development and international employment opportunities for tribal youth.
To celebrate his accomplishment, TTAADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia and Executive Member (EM) Kamal Kalai visited Janas’s home on Saturday to personally convey their congratulations. During the visit, the CEM also provided financial assistance from his personal resources as a token of encouragement.
Sharing his pride on social media, CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia wrote:
“Today, I visited the residence of Janas Jamatia at Twirisa Kami, Teliamura, who has secured employment in Japan with the support of Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma and sponsorship from the TTAADC for his training. He is the first ever individual from our Tiprasa community to receive a job opportunity in Tokyo, Japan. I also extended some personal financial assistance to him as a gesture of encouragement.”
Janas has been offered a five-year contract as a nurse in Tokyo. CEM Jamatia expressed hope that Janas’s success will inspire more young people from the tribal community to pursue professional training and global career opportunities, bringing pride to Tripura and the Tiprasa community.
