Agartala, Oct 28: Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) organized a Walkathon early Tuesday morning as part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, being celebrated nationwide from October 27 to November 2 under the central theme — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The Walkathon, which began at the Bank’s Head Office in Abhoynagar and concluded at the Circuit House in Agartala, saw enthusiastic participation from officers and staff of the Head Office. The event aimed to spread awareness on the importance of vigilance, transparency, and ethical governance in public institutions.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event, TGB’s General Manager, Shri Anup Kumar Saha, underscored the significance of collective responsibility in building a transparent and corruption-free system. “Vigilance is not a one-time exercise; it is a continuous process that must guide our actions and decisions every day,” he said. Shri Saha highlighted the Bank’s ongoing initiatives to instil integrity, accountability, and honesty among its employees, adding that these values form the foundation of effective governance.

He also noted that Vigilance Awareness Week serves as an opportunity for institutions to renew their commitment to ethical conduct and responsible service delivery.

The Walkathon stood as a symbolic gesture of Tripura Gramin Bank’s dedication to promoting integrity both within the organization and in society at large. The active involvement of employees reflected their united commitment to uphold the principles of transparency and good governance.
