Agartala: Mar 27: On Thursday afternoon, an incident involving the recovery of firearms occurred at the entrance of Sepahijala Guest House Cottages, which led to the arrest of four individuals. The situation unfolded after Abhijit Das, a man from Teliamura, allegedly fired two rounds at his wife at his in-laws’ residence in the Kusshaitila area of Teliamura. This act of violence prompted the local Teliamura police to take swift action, leading to the arrest of four individuals in the Charipara cremation area, also in Teliamura.
Under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Teliamura Subdivision, Pannalal Sen, the police traced the location of the firearm, which was recovered from a jungle near Sepahijala Guest House. Abhijit Das accompanied the authorities during the search, which raised a crucial question: How did the accused manage to transport the firearm from Teliamura to Sepahijala Guest House?
