Agartala: April 03: Ashish Kumar Saha, President of the Pradesh Congress in Tripura, has raised serious allegations against the BJP-led state government, accusing it of creating obstacles for minorities and attempting to incite tension in border areas during Eid. These remarks were made during a press interaction following a key meeting of the Pradesh Congress Minority Department, which was chaired by Saha and attended by other prominent leaders, including MLA Sudip Roy Barman and Minority Department President Ruhul Alam.

Saha announced plans for statewide protests against the Wakf Bill and expressed strong opposition to the Wakf Amendment Bill. He criticized the state government for what he described as discriminatory treatment of residents living near the barbed-wire border with Bangladesh. He also condemned the disconnection of electricity in these areas before Eid, calling it an act of neglect and injustice.

The Pradesh Congress has pledged to continue its efforts to address these issues and advocate for the rights of minorities in the state.
