Agartala, April 22: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the government is working to transform the state into an education hub. Dr Saha said this while inaugurating newly constructed building of Amtali Higher Secondary School here on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Saha said that no nation can progress without development of education sector and in view of this the government here is working diligently to enhance education infrastructure in the state. The government is working to render quality education among the students of the state.

The Central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched National Education Policy to improve education in the country, Dr Sasha said, adding that moving in line with the government at the Centre the Tripura government has also implemented the policy in the state.

Dr Saha said that several other measures and policy was undertaken to improve education system in the state. Apart from this, the present government is working for the development of the neglected, poor, women and minority groups, he added.
