The Congress party on Saturday convened a special organizational meeting at Kalyanpur Congress Bhavan to deliberate on its nationwide campaign, “Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.” The session was led by All India Observer Rahul Bal and brought together party leaders, office-bearers, and grassroots workers from across the region.

Among those present were District Congress President Pradyut Bhattacharjee, former district president Bikram Kishore Sinha, Kalyanpur Block President Prashanta Deb, Ramchandraghat Block President Bidhan Debbarma, Pradesh Tribal Cell Vice-President Shib Chandra Debbarma, and Pradesh Congress Secretary Kartik Debnath. The meeting witnessed active participation from party supporters, reflecting an effort to strengthen coordination between leadership and grassroots workers.

Addressing the gathering, Rahul Bal explained that the “Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan” was conceptualized following discussions in Ahmedabad after the success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He noted that the campaign aims to reconnect the party with its ideological roots while empowering workers at the block and panchayat levels. The initiative seeks to take the Congress party’s history, principles, and message directly to the grassroots.

Highlighting key issues in Tripura, Bal pointed to the lack of basic infrastructure in rural areas, particularly inadequate road connectivity. He observed that in some villages, patients still have to be carried on bamboo stretchers to reach healthcare facilities. Stressing the importance of public awareness, he said such ground realities must be brought to the attention of the wider population, making the campaign both relevant and necessary.

Bal further informed that the program has already been implemented in 25 states, with Tripura’s rollout delayed due to the ADC elections. He confirmed that nine observers have been assigned to the state’s nine organizational districts and will submit detailed reports to the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Reiterating the party’s legacy, Bal described Congress as an organization rooted in ideals and sacrifice from the freedom struggle. He urged workers to actively spread these values and contribute to revitalizing the party at the grassroots level. The meeting concluded with a renewed call to strengthen organizational presence and reconnect with communities across Tripura.
