Agartala, June 17, 2026: In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the rural economy, promoting self-reliance, and accelerating financial inclusion, Tripura Gramin Bank, in collaboration with Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited, organized a grand loan sanction certificate and vehicle key handover ceremony in Agartala on Tuesday.

During the event, loan sanction certificates and vehicle keys were handed over to 13 beneficiaries, who collectively received loans worth ₹43 lakh. The financial assistance is expected to help the recipients establish sustainable livelihoods, generate new sources of income, and achieve greater economic independence.

The programme was inaugurated by Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satendra Singh, who highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and improving the socio-economic condition of rural communities across the state.

Among those present at the event were Marketing Head of Tripura Gramin Bank, Trijit Bhattacharjee, senior bank officials, and representatives of Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited. The company was represented by Samit Das, Retail and Channel Finance (East); Amit Singh, Head of Institutional Sales; and Kaushik Das, Dealer Principal of S.R. Motors.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Satendra Singh said that Tripura Gramin Bank has consistently played a leading role in promoting financial empowerment, employment generation, and inclusive growth through easy access to credit facilities. He noted that the bank remains committed to supporting individuals and small entrepreneurs by providing timely financial assistance for income-generating activities.

He further stated that Tripura Gramin Bank currently operates the largest banking network in the state, with 150 branches and 13 Ultra Small Branches, serving more than 21 lakh active customers across Tripura. Through its extensive outreach and customer-centric services, the bank continues to contribute significantly to the state’s economic development.

The Chairman emphasized that the initiative goes beyond the mere distribution of loans. It represents an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly youth from rural areas, to create employment, become financially self-sufficient, and contribute to local economic growth.

The event concluded with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the support and optimism about utilizing the vehicles to build successful businesses and secure a better future for themselves and their families.
