Agartala, July 16: Tripura Gramin Bank on Thursday marked a significant milestone in its journey of growth and modernization with the foundation stone laying ceremony of its new Head Office at Gurkhabasti in Agartala. The ceremony, held on the auspicious eve of Rath Yatra, symbolised the beginning of a new phase in the bank’s institutional development and commitment to delivering improved banking services across the state.

The foundation stone was laid in the presence of Chairman Satyendra Singh, General Manager Anup Kumar Saha, senior officials, and employees of the bank. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from staff members, reflecting a shared sense of pride and optimism about the bank’s future expansion.

According to bank officials, the proposed headquarters has been designed as a modern administrative hub equipped with improved infrastructure and advanced facilities to enhance operational efficiency. The new office is expected to streamline internal processes, strengthen administrative functions, and improve customer service delivery while providing a better working environment for employees.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman Satyendra Singh described the project as a landmark initiative in the bank’s evolution. He said the new Head Office represents far more than a physical structure and reflects the institution’s long-term vision of becoming a stronger, smarter, and future-ready financial organisation.

“This Head Office embodies our commitment to serving the people of Tripura with trust, integrity, and efficiency while embracing modern technology and innovation to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” he said.

The Chairman also reiterated the bank’s dedication to inclusive banking and rural development, stating that the institution would continue to play a key role in promoting financial inclusion and supporting economic growth in the state.

Officials said the new headquarters would enable the bank to strengthen its administrative capabilities, improve decision-making, and provide faster and more efficient banking services. It is also expected to support the bank’s future expansion plans and enhance its ability to meet the growing financial needs of customers across Tripura.
