Agartala: May 22: A pregnant woman gave birth to a baby boy aboard the Kanchenjunga Express while traveling from Sabroom to Sealdah. Upon receiving information about the situation, personnel from the Dharmanagar Government Railway Police Station (GRPS) swiftly intervened, providing assistance and ensuring the safety of both mother and child at Dharmanagar Railway Station.

Medical professionals from Dharmanagar Railway Hospital arrived at the station to assess their condition, confirming that both were healthy. Following standard procedures, the authorities informed Dharmanagar District Hospital, and an ambulance was dispatched to transport them for further medical care.

PRPS Office In-Charge Uttam Kumar Kalai stated that prompt action was taken to ensure the well-being of the mother and baby. Both are reported to be in good health and receiving necessary medical attention at the district hospital. The family, originally from Ranchi, was identified as Katki Nagasia and her husband, Katka Nagashia.

Authorities and healthcare workers coordinated efficiently to manage the situation, underscoring the importance of rapid response in emergencies.
