Agartala, June 2: Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda has assured full support to the people of Tripura in light of the ongoing flood situation triggered by continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days.

BJP Tripura President Rajib Bhattacharjee confirmed that Nadda personally reached out to him over the phone to inquire about the current situation in the state. Bhattacharjee shared the update on social media, expressing gratitude for the central leadership’s concern and timely response.

“Due to the unexpected flood situation caused by heavy rainfall, Hon’ble BJP National President and Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji spoke with me over the phone today to get an update on the ground situation,” Bhattacharjee wrote.

He further mentioned that Nadda assured all possible assistance from the central leadership to help the state tackle the crisis. “I briefed him about the present condition across Tripura. He assured me of full support and said he stands firmly with the people of the state during this difficult time,” Bhattacharjee noted in a follow-up post in Bengali.

The flood has affected several low-lying areas across multiple districts, prompting the state administration to open relief shelters and begin distribution of emergency supplies. Senior leaders, including MPs and ministers, have been visiting affected areas to oversee relief operations.

The BJP’s central leadership’s active engagement has brought reassurance to the state unit and the public as rescue and relief operations continue across flood-hit regions.
