Agartala, July 07: AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder on Monday chaired a crucial meeting to address drinking water crisis in several municipality wards.

Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta, members of the mayor in council, ward corporators, Municipal Commissioner D K Chakma and senior officers of water and electricity corporations were present in the meeting.

The meting mainly focused on in depth discussion on the root causes and existing gaps in water distribution and service delivery.

Mayor Dipak Majumder underscored the urgency of resolving the persistent water supply issues effecting residents across the city. He however assured that the corporation is committed to improve the situation promptly.

The Mayor emphasised the administration’s commitment to streamlining services and ensuring that the citizens recurve uninterrupted access to safe drinking water.
