Rudrapur, July 19: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah lauded the Pushkar Singh Dhami-led Uttarakhand government for grounding investment projects worth over ₹1 lakh crore, a milestone achieved just 18 months after the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023.

Speaking at the Uttarakhand Nivesh Utsav 2025 in Rudrapur, Shah praised the state’s governance, policy transparency, and swift implementation. “Signing MoUs is easy, but grounding investments is the real challenge. The Dhami government has done it with determination and vision,” Shah said.

Over 81,000 direct jobs are expected from these projects, with an additional 2.5 lakh indirect employment opportunities. Shah also inaugurated and laid the foundation for 20 development projects worth ₹1,342.84 crore, including roads, hostels, police housing, and a homeopathic medical college.

Shah highlighted India’s economic rise under PM Modi, noting the country’s leap from the 11th to the 4th largest global economy, poised to be third by 2027. He emphasized balanced development—pairing infrastructure growth with welfare, such as free ration, Ayushman Bharat, and rural electrification.

He called Uttarakhand’s development essential to India’s 2047 vision and reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to key projects like the All-Weather Road and ropeways to Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib.

CM Dhami said the grounded investments reflect Uttarakhand’s growth potential, business-friendly policies, and sustainable development vision. He cited operational parks, a venture fund for startups, and initiatives like the proposed ₹1,300 crore Industrial Smart City in Khurpia Farm.

Uttarakhand has received over ₹1.86 lakh crore in Central support over the last decade. Industry leaders including Baba Ramdev, Dr. Sunil Rai, and Pawan Agarwal praised the state’s progress in wellness, education, and green industry, marking Uttarakhand as a rising industrial and spiritual hub.
