Agartala, April 20: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday said that his government is committed to preserve and promote the tradition and culture of Tripura.

Addressing a gathering at Sanskiti Haat, an initiative by Bangla Sanskriti Boloy, the Chief Minister said that this Sanskriti Haat reflects the true spirit of unity in diversity. He appreciated the tradition Jhumur Dance, performed by the artists of local villages and said that he would send video footage of the same to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to find a place in PM Modi’s upcoming Mann Ki Baat programme.

West Tripura Zilla Sabhadhipati Bishwajit Shil, President of Agartala Bangla Sanskriti Boloy Nirmal Kumar Deb, Sebak Bhattacharjee, Secretary of Agartala Press Club Ramakanta Dey and others were present in the programme, which marked the 72nd week of the Sanskriti Haat.
