Agartala, July 19: Stressing that a strong grassroots organisation is the foundation of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s continued success, Tripura Tourism Minister and senior BJP leader Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday participated in an organisational meeting under the party’s Panchayat-level Meeting programme at West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat, which falls under his Assembly constituency.

The meeting witnessed the participation of elected representatives of the Gram Panchayat, booth presidents, senior party functionaries, mandal leaders and grassroots workers. The interaction focused on reviewing the party’s organisational activities at the Panchayat and booth levels and chalking out strategies to further strengthen the BJP’s presence among the people.

Addressing the gathering, Chowdhury highlighted the importance of a vibrant booth-level organisation, describing it as the backbone of the party’s electoral and organisational strength. He urged party workers to remain connected with the people, actively engage with local communities and work collectively to expand the BJP’s organisational network across every village and locality.

The Minister also emphasised the need to effectively communicate the welfare initiatives and development programmes being implemented by both the Central and the Tripura governments. He said every party worker has a responsibility to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries and that people are made aware of the various initiatives aimed at improving their quality of life.

Chowdhury called upon party workers to earn the trust and confidence of every section of society through dedicated public service, regular interaction with citizens and prompt resolution of local issues. He said the BJP’s organisational programmes should not only strengthen the party but also serve as a platform for addressing the concerns and aspirations of the people at the grassroots level.

Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development and good governance, the Minister said the party continues to be guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” and the philosophy of Antyodaya, which aims to ensure the welfare and upliftment of the last person in society.

He asserted that with a strong organisation and dedicated workers, the BJP would continue to serve the people effectively while taking the government’s development agenda to every household across the state.
