Agartala: April 08: The CPI(M) Sadar Subdivision Committee organized a protest march in the city to voice opposition to the recent ₹50 increase in the price of domestic cooking gas cylinders. The march commenced at the Sadar Subdivision Office and proceeded through various streets of the city.

During the event, a committee leader expressed concerns about the impact of the price hike on household budgets, particularly for the middle class and economically vulnerable groups. The leader also criticized the central government for its recent policy decisions, including the implementation of the amended Waqf Bill, which he claimed could affect the rights of certain communities.

The protest highlighted the broader concerns of citizens regarding the rising cost of living and its implications for various sections of society.
