Agartala: April 16: Concerns over road safety in Tripura were discussed during a meeting at the Sonar Tori Guest House in the capital, addressing issues such as reckless driving and illegal parking, which have contributed to a rise in traffic accidents in the West Tripura district. Former Chief Minister and MP Biplab Kumar Deb led the discussions, emphasizing the need for a district-specific road safety action plan to reduce fatalities.

The meeting, part of a quarterly committee initiative, was attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumdar and West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar.
